Apologies, I forgot to publish last weeks Illustration Wednesday. But never fear, this weeks is worth the wait!
This weeks Illustration Wednesday comes in the form of Jing Zhang.
Jing Zhang is a Chinese illustrator / designer / typographer based in
London. Having initially trained as a fashion illustrator, Jing has
since
developed a diverse portfolio encompassing typography and character
design.
I really love the textures within Jing's work, especially
the wood grain. I initially found Jing's work while looking through the
YCN website, who represent her, and instantly falling in love with the
work. Be sure to check out her website!

Pickled Eggs
A collaboration with Jono Sandilands from last year. He sent me the initial layer of the jar and eggs in black, and I added the halftones shading.
A fun project, and something I'd love to do more of. If anyone ever fancied doing a collaboration, get in touch: studio@thisisaekido.co.uk

Illustration Wednesday #4 - Lesley Barnes
This weeks Illustration Wednesday comes in the form of Lesley Barnes.
Lesley is an illustrator and animator from Glasgow, Scotland. Her work work is a lovely variety of vectored shapes and textures, where all her illustrations seem to have a quirk to them that isn't expected (ie some of the faces on her Knights & prince illustrations).
I first discovered her work through the wonderful Wrap magazine and instantly fell in love, and only recently realised she was Scottish too, extra brownie points there too!

New Stockists - Lik + Neon
I am very happy and proud to announce that I have a new stockist,Lik+Neon in London!
Adrian Reid and myself as part of our Happy Accident Collective will be having prints stocked in Lik+Neon, just off Brick Lane in London. We were contacted via Twitter after we did our screenprinting workshop at Offset57 asking whether we were printing more, and if we would be interested in stocking them in the shop. We feel really proud to have work that will be in the shop as it's one of our favourite shops in London, and one in which we visit regularly whenever down.
